My first blog entry in a while.. So here is what is happening. Things are going pretty well . I sprained my ankle earlier in the month of January and it slowly comming around, it grounded me for a few weeks but knee hi boots did the trick and I could still dance.(pole and otherwise) giggles.
I only made it out a few times in January cause of conflicts with other things in my life. ( dinners, memorial services and some family gatherings that were important) The January ventures were close to home and a lot of fun. Both outings were a friday nite. which started off at the Aut Bar having dinner with friends. a few games of pool and just wonderful conversation with my friends. I usually go with my good friend Paula and we Always have a great time together. But the Aut bar has more. The staff is so nice. I always feel special when I am there. The other patrons too are great for the most part. I have met a lot of new friends in my many trips to this establishment. It is cozy little place with a variety of people .Male/female /gay/straight/lesbian/black/white/young/old/ tall/short/ fat/skinny.and usually there is only a few of us special girls there. The food is great and u know I do love food. But I go to the Aut because I have a good time there.
I have also started to go to a club about 6 blocks away called the Necto. So far I have been there only 3 times. and each time I had a blast. It is different than any club I have been. The crowd consists of male/female/gay /lesbian and straight. A bit younger than most clubs I have been. but hey I am 24 and I fit in perfectly. The place gets packed by midnite . with 200-300 people in place. It dance time with 2 poles for pole dancing. and a large dance floor. The people are kewl. The music is a bit techno but I like most music. There is not a lot of girls like me there. but that doesnt bother me one bit. I have been treated great. and I have gotten more compliments here than any club I have been. The ladies room are a clean at 10 pm but by 1:00 am they are pretty well trashed as many of the ladies have overconsummed their alcohol. LOL. So if on a friday nite you want to try someplace different. Let me know.
February has started out good. I did make the GNOT at the Rhouse last weekend and had a good time with about 20 girls coming out in Zero temps.It s hard to believe it will be our 2 year aniversary of the GNOT in May. And the late nite breakfast and coffee and IHOP is always something special.
This past Friday the Aut Bar was hopping. Giggles. Even the Professor was there. A nice dinner with my friend Paula and pool and good conversation with a lot of people there. I was home early as I had a busy Saturday planned. It was fun. What more can I say.
What is important to me is to just have fun when I am out. I dont have to be with t-girls. Just with good people who are kind, polite and respectful. I have never had a bad time out. (even when Mr Police didnt like my bright headlights) ,a few snickers and cat calls or snide remarks. There is always a person or two out there that dont like the t-girls. but its their problem not mine. Being different will always have this kind of reaction. I deal with it , with a smile. and I just do what I do. Being Myself. and I am very happy being myself.
The end of February and first part of March I will be away . A Special vacation with family and a birthday party for my precious Mom so I will miss the next GNOT. A year ago or so I would of been ansy and depressed cause I couldnt get out. (now I have been able to manage that and make these other non Mandie events pleasant.) I have realized that I might be part-time in wearing the most desired clothing and I dont go out every single saturday nite. It doesnt matter what clothes a person wears, or where u go out. My favorite place is the Lake Michigan beach. It is what is inside that person that make them who they are. I know who I am, I am Mandie.
And in May I get to visit Las Vegas.. OH MY!
