Ha, ha...Kev does the good ol' disappearring trick again. I have to admit, I do a great job of avoiding the computer. Yes...I just walk on by. My girlfriend even set-up a page just for mr and I've managed to not add anything to it but friends. Go ahead....say it...."you lazy bastard."
But really,it's been an interesting year for both Dominique, Dish, & myself. There's been injuries, debts, relationship destruction, auto destruction, ego destruction, lacks-of-communication, too-much-communication, moving, and other great changes (both good and bad, of course). Life has a way of reminding you that things can change on you with little or no notice. But ride the bumps and eventually the roads do get smoother.
I'm not one to bring the personal into the public. (That is, unless you've seen my gear stop working before or during a show, ha, ha.) As individuals, we've been forced to grow-up as of late. That's not a bad thing at all. Musically, it hasn't changed the energy.
Dominique and I, musically, bring a lot out of each other. When Big Kev left the family last year, I was a bit crushed. I may never play with another drummer quite like him. As time has passed, I feel Dish picking up on what we do. We're all starting to feed off each other again.
The next show, at the Viper Room, is going to be a bit louder than some of you may be used to hearing from us. Chad, a former bandmate of Dish' is blessing us with his volume! We recently did this at Molly's and it felt....well....loud. No, no, nothing was lost.
I'm falling asleep, my writing sucks today, I'm incessantly babbling, b-day celebrations for many coming soon,......and I need to make more money....(don't we all).
Thanks for sticking around for us. See you next week (4-21-06) at the Viper Room!
-Kev
