The three R's!

Yeah, I was just trying to be whitty...

Oh man, oh man it feels so good to finally have a chance to be creative and just be myself. In this lovely industry that is my life's calling, it's very easy to get lost.

Coming here to Nashville I feel a big wave of relief. I am writing and LOOOOOVVVVIIINNNNGGG it!! Yeah, some of the songs may be great and some may be horrendous, but that doesn't matter to me. Nobody's perfect.

I just needed to tell everyone how I was feeling!

For so long, back in the pop side, people always told me, "Just stick to what you know how to do and leave the writing to the professionals." That is a literal quote from someone I worked with. Now, I am not trying to say that I am the next Diane Warren or Vicky McGehee, but I just wanted for someone to give me a chance. And now I've got it!

But... I am not the type of singer to only record my own stuff. I am a true believer that a great song can come from anyone and I completely respect all of the songwriters of the world, big and small!

Gone Country opened huge doors for me and I am really getting the chance to hone in on myself as an artist, as a whole. I am gaining enough confidence to say, "Yeah, I'm here and I am bigger and better than you ever imagined!"

After so many years of doubt from others, I somehow began to loose my self-esteem as an artist which had carried me so far in the beginning. That is finally starting to melt away.

Yeah, baby. I'm in it to win it!
