Last Tuesday morning I drove down to Kansas for a few days to relax before heading to Miami for a wedding.

Tuesday night I caught Randy Rogers & (Lawrence native) Ashley Ray for a great acoustic show at the Granada in Lawrence, KS. I'd never heard of Ashley Ray before and she made a new fan that night (and apparently I'm her new best friend, check my profile comments) and of course Randy Rogers was great as always.

Wednesday night I headed up to Knuckleheads Saloon in North Kansas City to share the stage with Sunny Sweeney and band. While it was kind of hectic getting going I felt I did ok and I've seemed to make some new friends and fans down there. The guys from the band after me (Off The Record) were all cool guys and I got to eat sunflower seeds with Doug (Sunny's merch guy) while Sunny & Band played their set.

I look like a total dork in my new profile picture but I don't care, it was quite a night to remember for me.

Also, Thanks to my new friend John & his wife for inviting me to hang with them at the Randy Rogers show since I was out there alone.
