Who Gives Kudos:

Friday, December 12, 2008
Just given some some dap to kats that truly deserve it in my book... Sometimes people aren't ready for something that doesn't fit into the natural equation of things... but, that doesn't mean that the ones resisted aren't the SHIT...

1. Damion Reid (drummer): Bad ass brother... Thanks dude for being real, even though many weren't ready... your mission is heard bra...

Its so easy to mistake talent for greatness... Greatness has an energy that goes beyond one's craft... The talents we all have is just a tool we use to say the things we desire... Some are naturally good at it, but that doesn't mean that they are saying anything... True greatness lies within the soul(spirit) of the individual... Some are easily recognized because they have been excepted by society... but there are those that live among us, bearing their cross daily... Today I acknowledge Damion Reid...

I hope everyone can list a un-sung hero each day... maybe others will catch on...

Peter Adam Hill (Drummer)

Robert Glasper's canvas was one of the first albums I bought and thought this is my music. This is the sound I have been looking for that defines what I love about music and why I want to play it.

Damion Reid captures everything that it is to be a great drummer

I will die happy if I can touch one person with my music the way you and damion have touched me with yours.

Eric, I couldn't agree more...
Damion has been a very important musical figure in my life and I believe he is a very important voice that need to be heard more.

Time always does justice to those who deserve it. However, it's nice of you to acknowledge this. Very classy indeed. In fact, to see his name on here says a lot about you as well.

I really hope to hear you play soon and to get lifted again, like I always do.

By the way, did you record the damn band or what ???
Best,
L.

Terreon Gully: No matter the setting, he manages to make the music even more beautiful with his articulate strokes.
