Isn’t that a damn fine Poster?Holly Children + Branden Daniel & Everybody Gets Laid this SATURDAY Feb 28th at 9pm for a Podcast Recording Concert in the basement of a house in SE Portland – otherwise known as “Banana Stand Productions”!!!Sound exciting? It is! Here’s the deal, we need you there to not only “get your rocks off” but to be loud, drunk, stoned whatever you may be for the recording of this show. So that people on the Interweb can hear that we have friends and we are not alone in our musical efforts. The address is 1517 SE Division, between Genie's and New SeasonsMapHere’s the deal, the show is all ages but if you are over 21 it is cool to BYOB. There are plenty of bars on Division within walking distance, so that is probably what we will be doing when the bands aren’t playing.Holly Children – Kyle “Lil’ Sumner” Morriss’ band, that is by far his best music project yet, will be playing at 9pm Branden Daniel & Everybody Gets Laid will be playing at 10pmWhen all of that is done there will still be plenty of fun and evening to be had. So, we’ll see where things go from there…probably to a bar or party.Get on down, and get nasty!
In other news, every now and then you come across a music journalist or music blogger that is not just another arm chair critic and actually has a genuine enthusiasm for new bands, new music and intriguing artistry. Ms. Dagmar Sieglinde Patterson is that journalist/blogger. On her blog www.dagmarsieglinde.com this week she not only posted pics (seen above) that she took herself of our show at the Comet on V-day but she throws in a nice little “heads up” about our band. Dagmar has talent for what she does, no question! Still, it didn’t take talent to do what she did. Hell, it didn’t even take 500 words. It just took genuine enthusiasm for new music.
Word to your mother Dagmar! BD
