In the age of Political Correctness do we still have the Right to Free Speech?

It seems to me that as an American citizen who has never committed a hate crime I am being punished by having my 1st amendment rights to free speech without censorship changed to the allowance of speech as long as it is non offensive.

This is unacceptable to me. I have already accepted the fact that one day we will no longer have Opie and Anthony to listen to even on XM because one day they will say something and some jackass like Rev Al will say he is outraged, and just like every other company they will bend at the knees and kiss his ass, but will this end there.

How far will this go? Is there a chance one day I could be out with some friends at a bar and I call a friend a fag and I lose my job over it? Absolutely, this could happen for the same reasons as it happens with Imus and Dog.

If someone overhears me and gets offended and rallies enough people to protest my place of employment what do you think any boss is going to do. So it's not just that our on air personalities are at risk we are all at risk

The only way to stop this from ruining our Country is to immediately say enough is enough. I have the right to say what I want as long as I am not threatening anyone or calling for violence upon anyone, but there is not now, and there will never be a law about hurting someone's feeling.

It is not the government's job to tell me what I can say and what I can not. Before I was 18 my parents could tell me what not to say or do, but now it is my right as an American citizen to be able to say things that may offend others.
