have you played the new norway pong? of course you haven't. you didn't even know about it. well it turns out that pong is one of the greatest video games ever made, so check it out. it's pretty easy right now, but i'm working on making it harder - so start practicing now!

http://norwaymusic.net/   just click on "game" to play!

pong info: first introduced by atari in 1972, pong was the first mainstream video arcade game, and it blew the former arcade game (pinball) out of the water with it's intense 2 dimensional graphics and monophonic sound. video games sure have come a long way since then, but very few are as entertaining and addictive as pong.

yes, well the components were mostly analog since that was all that was available at the time, although you can't really consider the game software analog since computers talk in binary language, which of course is digital.

all that really matters to the user is that the controller was this brilliant metal paddle, which is far better than a joystick for a game like pong. it was a game of timing and balance, and that's pretty much the basis for every video game today, except now they have added strategy and a storyline to many games.

i found some interesting info about the pong arcade game here: http://www.pong-story.com/arcade.htm

also, i should have mentioned that we owe the creation of pong to a guy named ralph baer, who started developing pong back in 1966. he first thought of making a video game in 1951. more info here: http://www.pong-story.com/intro.htm
