It seems like such a long time ago. It really does. Ahem, anyway, the highlights were the gig at Hobo's in Bridgend, with This is a Standoff, who were as tight as a shark's arse at ten fathoms. Wasted knew their fast punk, thrash and booze and were bloody great too. Thanks for the homebrew!
The Queen's Hotel (Rockit) in Bridlington on Friday 15th was bloody ace. The landlord - Ben 'the Birdman of Bridlington' Kirkham - was in fine form, making surprising amounts of Strongbow disappear for a man who was 'off the ale'. We can all learn a lot from him! Thanks to him and Julie for being such good hosts, and to Jon Fat Beast and Fisher for helping make it such a good weekend. Just keep drumming lads, and stay safe!
We started recording just after Brid, with MC Southpaw at the desk. We had our ups and downs, including a throat infection for me, but we're pretty happy with the results. you will hear them here very soon. Recording dotted around the rest of May, with only Nice and Sleazy festival at Morecambe to relieve the red light monotony. The festival was great fun, marred only by us missing our Saturday night slot thanks to Mr Dazzler missing his train. Thanks to Ivan, Sam and all at Nice n Sleazy for working so hard to get us another slot and being very patient with us. I really appreciate it! Thanks also to Ben and the boys and girls from Geoffrey Oi!Cott, Claire and Magzy, Ossie, Jay, Rhianne and others, who helped make is such a fun weekend.
