I thought it was sort of creepy seeing friends who have died listed among the living friends.
Then I opened a few of the sites of people no longer with us. Clearly it is the province of those who still support and encourage the memory and work of the past-ones. And with that, there is nothing wrong with promoting the work of these people and making a buck or two.
So why do I include people who I know are both passed on and will no pass from my memory among my friends?
Big question.
I know they are not really my friends. I've mets a few of them along the way. But personal friends, hardly. Let's get real on the subject. No one is being kidded. I requested that they include me in their friends list because it a way of keeping faith with their music. Even if some employee or relative accpets my request. To me, it is keeping a little of the enthusiasms I felt when I first discovered their music alive in me now.
Mostly I want their names in my friends list to demonstrate my respect.
