I have artificial flowers in my home and I love them. There is no way I could get fresh flowers every day if I wanted to, and I don't see that as anything but a huge waste of money. Fresh flowers are great on occasion, but there is no way I can get them all the time. I have a few favored arrangements of artificial flowers in my house and I don't intend to give them up any time soon.

Though at one time artificial flowers were indeed something to be wary of, there are many great places that make them today, and many of them are gorgeous. Silk ones are by far the best, but even some of the cheaper ones look great. My favorite artificial flowers are the ones I have on a vine hanging over the top to my curtains. Perhaps one of the reasons why people don't like artificial flowers for decorating purposes is because people don't keep them clean. Artificial flowers attract dust, and it can be very obvious if you don't keep them cleaned off. If you dust them when you dust the rest of your home, you won't have anything to worry about.
