Mark and I decided since we are going to be in one place for so long, we should take advantage of the time, space and campground's workshop to redecorate the RV. It's only been 3 years since we finished the initial remodel and moved in, but in a space so small it's helps to change out your decor from time to time.
We packaged all the nautical decor and sent it home with Mark's folks when they were here to visit recently. Today we finished putting a new ceiling in all the areas except the bathroom. The plain white ceiling we had was just too boring. The new ceiling is a mottled pattern of creams, tans, whites and a sagey-green shade. (I don't actually see the green, but Mark swears I'm color-blind and it's there plain as day!...whatever...)

Next we are going to replace the backsplash of the sink/stove area. It's also a plain white and we bought some wallboard that looks like tile without adding the extra traveling weight of real tile. We are also going to replace the shower/tub walls with something a little more textured and durable than what we chose in the beginning. After that it's a matter of putting up the trim and we'll be on to the part that I enjoy most...decorating!! Yeah..

Our plan is to end up with a decor that has a Tuscan/Italian kind of feel without having to resort to a plethora of fat chef or grape patterns. I found out with the nautical decor that very much pattern goes an awful long way in a 25 foot RV! So we are thinking if we keep the base a neutral shade, we should be able to use color in pillows, curtains, towels etc to give some extra character. We also have our eyes on a few choice pieces of kitch that might add some flavor.
