"DARTH MACO"

I've always been a Star Wars fan, who isn't? But it wasn't until I saw Darth Maul in action in Episode I that I totally freaked and became obsessed with "the Sith". I started collecting Star Wars merchandise like crazy! And right when I thought I had everything, Master Replicas had to come out with Force FX sabers…man…I now have Darth Vader's saber, Anakin's, and my most beloved, Darth Maul! After buying 'em all (I think it's a demented form of therapy for me), there was one last thing missing…a Sith costume! As soon as I realized this, I asked a professional Production Designer, Cindy Belleza, to make me one. It was luck that she too was a Star Wars fan. For the undergarments, I simply had my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi dyed black, bought a belt and filled it up with cellphone holsters, and bought leather gloves and rain boots from Ace hardware. As the cloak was being made, my band, Kjwan, was busy making the music video for the first single of our 2nd album, "2stepmarv." The Production Designer, Digo Riccio was also a Star Wars fan so I told him about my costume. To add more, he got me these wonderfully freaky contact lenses that made my path to the dark side complete…

Here are some pictures I had taken right before Hollow's eve 2006. True enough, It felt amazing freaking people out. Since I was a Sith Lord, my girlfriend chose to fashion herself as Senator Amidala from Episode II. We went to places I had never been; classy bars like Fiama, Nuvo, and Piedra where I was determined to win their costume contest. True enough, the "dark side" was strong in me that evening 'cause I bagged the scariest and best costume awards. Have fun and may the "dark side" of "the force" be with you…

P.S. I got an "Old Republic" tattoo the day of our album launch…yes I am a geek
