A while ago I posted an article on useless knowledge.com that I want to go over again here, concerning the movie 'Josie and the Pussycats' It bugs me so much I lose sleep over it. Y'see, in this flick subliminal messages are placed under songs to control what people think, what to buy and what to consider 'cool' Therefore you end up with a bunch of mindless drones who think they've only bought a CD but also end up deciding that pink is the new black, gatorade is the new snapple, giraffe is the new breifcase and so on. Is it just me or is there far too much truth in this? I find it hard to believe that normal, sane human beings are all being taken in by reality TV, five minute music fads etc. without there being some king of outside infuence.Ask yourself; did you realy buy that Cd, those boots or that particular fast food 'cos you wanted to-or were you compelled by another force? Did Josies' record label put messages on the tracks they sell to sell more? God I hope so. If subliminal messages are not being used that means there are truly a bunch of scarely stoopid people out there who actually want to watch 'I'm a Z-list nobody, give me my career back', 'Bad Kareoke singer idol' and follow whatever fashion fad is around. The end is truly nigh!
