kim ki o is on NME, yes.
Everett True, who has even been teargased by the police while hanging around  in Nevizade, has written an insider article about the indie scene in Istanbul for this week's issue (7 February 2009) which talks about kim ki o, along with DDR, Change Of Plans and Oak.
Here's the kim ki o bits:
"...Kim Ki O are the city's gentle riot grrrls. They wield synths like the malcontent daughters of The Human League and Stereolab, and have supported Swedish raconteur Jens Lekman on tour. Ekin Sanac and Berna Gol had the idea of performing together since high school, aged 13. "We were inspired by bands like Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, Babes In Toyland, Huggy Bear," says Ekin. "We'd dye our hair and wear stupid, but nice, clothes." Their music is self-propelled, mystic, saturated with analogue sounds in a digital setting: mostly instrumental and always compelling. Check out the lush repetition of  'Kapali Kapali Kapali' - a downbeat Neu! for 2008..."
