Hi all,
I just researched a few of the nonprofits serving Mali. I donated a bit of my portion of the profits from Tangria's
self-titled CD to the
Mali Health Organizing Project. I also created a small microloan through
Microplace.
I wanted to give back to the place that helped to inspire "Bamako Love Walk," a track on the CD. I studied jembe drumming in Mali, Senegal and the Gambia in the summer of 1997.
Thanks again to the drummers and others who helped me out during my travels and studies.
If anyone else knows of any effective organizations helping those in need to get healthier and more empowered in Mali, please let me know.
