Sports are a beautiful, inspiring addition to our lives. Sports provide for entertainment and passion all over the world.
Both sides of sports, the players and the fans, benefit from the particpation in sports and wihtout their love for sports, life would seem to merely drag on. Players and coaches, as well as others directly involved in sports, thrive on the sport. Sports not only make these peoples' lives worth while, but it also teaches them lessons.
Sports teach players the unity only found with a team, the idea of sportsmanship and fair player as well as the will to succeed. Sports are not just a hobby or a fad; sports can be used as a tool to shape our youth and provide life long lessons these devloping children need. Coaches can learn about themselves throught the whole process. Personally, I now know what it means to be a role model and a leader to our youth.
The other side of sport is the fan. For some, sports provide motivation and inspiration to carry on. At times, fans can find themselves looking for something to follow and something to care about. Sports also give fans pride in something. I know that sports are not the most important part of life; God, family, friends and even sometimes jobs come before sports. But sports do more than just keep fat men occupied on Sunday afternoons.
If you have been able to stay awake and have been able to read this far, you are starting to understand my point. Sports are my passion and what I find a fair amout of fulfillment in. I have been on all sides of the sports spectrum. I started as and I am still a huge sports fan. I have also played many sports and now see the benfits of growing up playing the sports I love. I have been able to move on to coaching and sharing my love with the kids that look up to me. Sports have shaped me and my life.
