Just a Country Girl from Indiana...and it has been a fabulous year!

What a great time we had in Nashville this week!  So many of the new artists are missing out on the incredible people...artists, songwriters, dj's, and other industry professionals that make up the foundation of Country Music. The people that were there at the beginning, when the Opry was real!  We attended the ROPE (Reunion of Professional Entertainers) awards last night.  (the night after the CMA awards)  We were treated like celebrities, and some great DJ's invited us to set at the front of the room with them.  Seated at the table next to us were Jean Shepard and her family. And right behind her were Tommy Cash, Kitty Wells, Johnny Wright, Bill Anderson, one of the members from Rascal Flatts and so many more.  David Frizzell put on an incredible show, the man is better than he has EVER been.  And afterwards, he hugged us, and apologized for a problem with the sound system! 

We also had a great time meeting our Canadian friend and fabulous artist, Angela Siracusa at the Cadillac Cowboy, where Jodee Messina put on an incredible show...what a great voice!!! Angela is recording her NEW ALBUM with some great traditional songs...one I recommended and introduced her to, TIMBER...I can't wait to hear it!

Now it's back to work, next week we will be in Lousiana with Joe Diffie!
