The Process: Mortal Combat Remix

Ok, Here is how I made The Combat Remix!
I found a midi file in a collection of legal music that is for use in game making.

Next, I threw the midi into Sony Acid Plus (the cheap version).
The program splits up midi files so that they are easy to dissect.
I kept all the synth and organ hits from the original midi file.

Shortly after, I Muted the original beat from the midi file because they sounded to retro for my tastes.

Next, I dubbed in my own beat and extra base in various parts of the song. To mix it up, I put in scratches throughout the track.

I couldn't help but to add some techno rave synth into the song. I hope its not to repetitious. If you know what I'm talking about let me know if it annoys you.

I want to make a song with some vocals, but I have no one to sing for me. Once I figure this out I will make a new song!
