A screening of Breakfast at Tiffany's is cancelled in Sacramento, California due to Mickey Rooney's controversial character, Mr. Yunioshi.

It's not only because they were mocking the Japanese, but because that movie made the Japanese sound not only desperate but stupid as well. I love the movie, though - it's in my top 3 of all movies made and I could watch Breakfast at Tiffanys everyday for the rest of my life and be completely happy and not at all sick of this movie.

And Audrey Hepburn was/is a fashion icon and always will be - most of the way I dress is similar to her style of clothing - of course she was MUCH skinnier than I am! HAHA!

I, of course, totally agree with all of you!

This movie showcases Audrey (and George) - no one meant for it to focus on Mickey Rooney's role.

To ban one of the greatest movies ever over one small role that had a combined 10 minutes of screen time is absurd!

What a horrible loss to those in the Sacramento area - especially those who have never seen this terrific film before.

:(
