Going Digital: Moving from Paper to Plastic and Beyond with Digital Collections
This session explores the technology of digital collecting, as
well as policy and procedures for acquiring and properly caring
for digital collections. It is for museums that are receiving (or
thinking about accepting) digital materials into their collections
from donors. How do you accept these materials? What do
you do with them? How can we save them for the future? Also
examined is the development of collections policies and differing
physical requirements for long term care and the technology
required to achieve that goal.
