Trashy Diva is what I'm wearing on the Craig Ferguson show. It's cool, actually it's a privilage because the creator, Candice Gwinn, is right here in New Orleans. I love her vintage inspired designs.
I can relate to the name as well. Diva - inspired by strong female vintage starlets such as Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield. Trashy - taking something old and unwanted, making it beautiful and stylish. Also representing the girl who doesn't always follow the rules.....see where I'm going with this?

If you are not in New Orleans you can check out the line here; www.trashydiva.com

As always I am sporting jewelry from Tina Stanley www.marsviolet.net also a New Orleans girl. Tina's collections really appeal to me because of her way of combining her own handmade links with antique silver links. They are very "collagy" which makes sense to me. You've seen me wear her stuff in every picture...

Have fun looking at all these beautiful creations by awesome NOLA women!

^Yes! I must echo everyone's sentiments about your performance on Ferguson. This was my first time seeing you and I've spent the afternoon hearing/seeing some of your videos on youtube. I want to buy the album. Jeeze, it's been years since I've bought an album.

Anyway, you were incredible last night (or whenever it was recorded). You sound totally original. Also, I gotta give props to you for doing a network TV spot. Some artists really shy away from it. However, playing on Ferguson gives a whole new audience a chance to hear your work...especially late bloomers like myself!

I've tuned out the majority of new music from the past 3 years and it's really refreshing to hear something so wonderful.

Lastly, I emailed your booking agent with information on a venue to play in Lexington, KY. I really hope you make the trip up north to play here. It's a medium sized college town and I think you'd enjoy playing here. You know how great music is appreciated in the south!

Sorry for the long message,
Drew
