A seriously rocking week coming up. Thursday night we are hosting the kickass Miesha & the Spanks w/ guests Mallard. Saturday night sees Toronto's The Midway State with Thriving Ivory and Crowned King onstage, and a special Sunday night show this week, celebrating the launch of the latest Filling Station mag featuring a scorching set by our pals Heat Ray.

Of course, if getting yer groove on is the thing, we've got thaqt covered, too. Wednesday night is HUMP night, this week featuring DJ Neighbour, and as always Friday night is the venerable Haute Purse Suit w/ Wax Romeo and Teddy Celebration.

Filling Station, the locally created, nationally distributed literary and arts magazine, launches Issue 42. Single Onion Poetry Society’s Annual ‘Poetry Orgy’ brings surrealist author Stuart Ross from Toronto together with readers from 7 different local poetry groups: Most Vocal, Red Mile Revenge, dANDelion, Magpie Haiku Poets, Calgary SLAM!, Passion Pitch Poetry and NoD Magazine. Up and coming indie rock darlings Heat Ray, including members of beloved band Hot Little Rocket, put a cherry on top of the evening, with support from visual-artist-come-musicia..n Travis Murphy.
