With their new, viral single “Help I’m Alive” already on high rotation at Triple J – not to mention tearing up the charts in Canada, where it has bumped off Kings Of Leon as the #1 alternative single – Metric are set to take the world by storm in 2009! Founded by frontwoman Emily Haines (beloved by critics for her work as part of Broken Social Scene, as well as her 2006 solo recordings as Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton) and guitarist Jimmy Shaw, the group combine the indie-pop of Tegan and Sara with the attitude of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
