It was our second year
returning to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio,
California and we were ready for the heat. Top down in a cheap rented
convertible, a couple of fans with a box full of music, we hit the highway for
another year of ducking the sun in a desert field of dreams.
The Coachella festival
is a annual 3 day long organized indulgence in music, art and humans, prepared
for those willing to drop a few lousy hundred bucks and hang out in the middle
of the desert at 102 degree heat. The catch? The biggest names in music paired
with a very well curated lineup of independent artists, DJs, performances and
art installations sharing a polo field for three days.
We had a blast this
past April and caught some great new bands, some amazing DJs, pool parties,
people and bratwurst. Here's the best of / worst of, of 2009.
