"Family"

Default Image Photo Contest

***Please note that I will be unavailable from the evening of Friday, November 2 and will not be available again until Sunday, November 4; there will be no confirmations or questions answered until the evening of Nov. 4.***

Theme: Photos that represent family, of your family, of family members, or that portray the idea of family.

Rules:

*Any winners that have won this "default photo" contest in the last year may not participate in these photo contests until the year has passed.  You may, however, participate in the "background image" contests every month and winning the "backgound image" contest does not exclude you from this one.  You may still vote.

*You may only submit 2 photos.

*Send your submission through MySpace or to velvet_rose@hotmail.com with "Family Photo Contest" in the subject line.  If your submission is emailed, please include your MySpace URL so we can find you.  If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours after submitting your photo, please resubmit in case is was not received.

*Please include how you would like to be credited as it will be included as the caption of the photo. (i.e. Photo by mywebsite.com or My Company, Inc.)  If you do not include this information, we will do our best to credit you with what information we have.

*No size limit.

*Watermarking is ok, but please keep it to a minimum.

*Submissions are due by Nov. 5, 2007.  Voting will begin on Nov. 6, 2007 when the voting blog opens.

*Nudity must be censored due to MySpace rules.  No violent or offensive photos will be accepted.

*DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR PHOTO AS A COMMENT.  Any photos incorrectly submitted will not be considered for the contest unless you resubmit properly.  Post any questions as a comment so others may view the answer.

*By submitting your photo, you are giving us permission to post your photo and you are claiming that you are the photographer.

Please note that negativity will not be tolerated.  Only one warning will be issued to an offender before being blocked from this site.

Rules are always subject to change.

Grand Prize:

The winner will:

-have their photo as the default photo for the month until the next winner has been chosen.

-receive a badge for their website declaring them the winner.

-be interviewed by us and it will be displayed on the front page with samples of their work.
