Three tips for becoming a better programmer:
1: Read:
Reading is essential part of learning to program may it be books you
buy from the bookstore or Amazon, or e-books you download online.
Whenever you are not programming and have spare time, read. Read about
topics that relate to your current project or future projects. Read
books that has to do with standards, libraries, and other essential
topics.
2: Practice:
Practice is key, a wise person once said, “Practice makes the Master”.
After you read about a certain topic or key concept and have done the
examples from the book branch off into your own example. Write your own
mini program to test the concept, so that it is cemented in your mind
when writing your own applications. Repeat these steps continuously.
3: Open Your Mind:
Never close your mind to languages or idea’s. Never think with smug
assurance that another is wrong and you are right without even thinking
or processing the information. I had this problem for many years I
thought I knew it all, than once I opened my mind I started to actually
learn how to code for real. By this I mean don’t discard suggestions
look at them with a open view at than decide if it’s right for you.
Anyone can code, it takes dedication to make a true Programmer.
