Dear Members of the Howard Alumni Community:

As a fellow alum concerned about the future of our alma mater, I encourage you to participate in an important task undertaken by the Presidential Search Committee (PCS). The PSC was established by the Howard University Board of Trustees to search for the next President of the University. As a part of this search, the PSC is surveying the Howard community's diverse stakeholders, including the alumni, about key attributes and characteristics for the next President.

It is critically important that this research represent the unique perspective that only Howard alumni can provide. We now have before us a historic opportunity to help identify the best candidates for President as well as provide insight on the priorities that should be the focus of our beloved institution as it moves forward during this transition period.

To insure that the questions will be unbiased and the results independently calculated, the PSC selected the nationally respected research firm Wilson Research Strategies to conduct the survey. Without question, the results based on your opinions and feedback have the potential to impact important alumni program decisions and, indeed, the very future of Howard.

Your response and identity will remain completely confidential. I urge each and every one of you to complete the survey. I also ask that you encourage fellow alumni to complete the survey.

To begin the survey, please visit the alumni survey website: www.howardalumnisurvey.com

Thank you for your participation and continued commitment to Howard University.

Sincerely,

Ray Archer '72
Assistant Vice President
