So I went to the NYComic Con on Saturday. It was awesome. I had to wait outside an hour to get in. The line was innnnnnnsane. I got in around 11. I grabbed a ticket for the Stephen King Dark Tower event right away. I was going to wander around the main floor but I decided to check out the upstairs and find out where Hayden Panettiere was signing. I managed to find her and got in line. She was only signing autographs at this point-You could buy a ticket to get a picture with her later. She was so nice and very upbeat. Here's the pic I got:

I wandered around for a while longer, then decided to get in line for the SK DT thing so I could get a good seat. I wound up sitting in the middle section, like 4 rows behind the VIPs. Everyone came out, except SK. He was introduced and came out to a standing O. I tried to take pictures but they came out a little blurry.

They announced that they were just going to let us ask the questions. I came up with one but at first I was too nervous to get up and ask it. Then I thought..WTF...when am I ever gonna have a chance to do this again and if I don't do it, I am going to kick myself later so I sucked it up and hopped in line. The guy in front of me was pretty kool. When I was about 4th in line from the mike, I was peeking into the VIP section and who do I see on my left? Mick Garris. I didn't say anything but I was like wow, that's awesome. I wonder who else SK brought...So I look to my right and who do I see but Jack Ketchum, one of my fave authors! I was so excited. I must have gotten loud cuz some lady at the end of the row shusshed me. Oops. So anyway, my turn rolled around. I was so damn nervous! So first I said that Lisey's Story was one of the best books I ever read. Then I asked if he planned on making any more novels into comics. And he said they were thinking about The Stand and he asked if we would like that and everyone clapped and cheered. And I said OOOr, The Talisman, THE best book ever. More people clapped. And I was done. I got to ask SK a question :) Then I noticed some empty seats close to JK so I scrambled over and plopped down. As soon as the event was over and people started leaving, I scampered over to JK and said Oh I'm sorry to bother you but could I et a picture? And he was like sure!

..
He was SO nice! I had him sign a random piece of something from my bag.

..
It's funny cuz this is the second time I met him and I was totally unprepared. I'm going to start carrying around one of his books, just in case.
I asked him if he had anything new coming out and he told me that they're rereleasing a bunch of his older novels. I told him I went crazy on eBay years ago and I have em all :) I'll probably still buy the rereleases cuz I'm a dork like that. So I thanked him a bunch and took off. I called a couple people and dorked out cuz I was excited.
I was going to eat then but I still didn't even hit the floor. I wandered around a bit, checked out the DC booth (duh) and tried to find Jim Butcher. I thought it was funny because no one who was working the Con had any idea who I was talking about. So I was just wandering around in the book area, hoping to stumble across where he was signing. And I did. But that's for part 2 :) Now's beddie bye time cuz I am poooooped and so sore from the standing, walking, awkward sitting..etc..
