Good people of the Amtam world,
With the upcoming release of Amber’s new book
“Bang Ditto”, we are looking for some beautiful people that love Amber’s words
and would be willing to help us out by running Myspace Street Teams for their
city (or country if not in the US/Canada) to promote the book.
This basically involves creating a
professional looking Myspace page and adding friends from the area you are
targeting. The page must include:
- - Amber’s blurb about the book
- - Two excerpts from the book
- - The cover of “Bang Ditto”
- - A link to buy Amber’s book “Free
Stallion” on Amazon
- - A link to buy “Bang Ditto” on
Amazon (when it is available)
- - Information on all of Amber’s
upcoming TV appearances
- - Details of shows that are in your
area
- - Videos of Amber reading her
poetry – these can be found on Youtube by searching Amber’s name and Lasers of
sexcellence of Drums in your chest
- - This page as your top friend
- - Plus a few pictures and anything
else you deem to be relevant
- EDITED TO ADD: Please make the headline/name of the page "Street Team for Amber Tamblyn's Bang Ditto" >City, State (ie. Street Team for Amber Tamblyn's Bang Ditto > Los Angeles, CA
The admin of the first two Street Team to
reach 1000 friends will receive a signed copy of Amber’s new book “Bang Ditto”,
plus Amber’s recently removed wisdom teeth which are currently hanging in a jar
above her bed. Right by the painting of Oprah Winfrey.
Please send us a link if
you make a page so we can check it out and make sure there are no double ups
for cities. If we can successfully get these Street Teams up and running
we will also be introducing some rad contests and other cool stuffs. So stay
tuned. Or…. Subscribed.

Amber’s blurb about the book:
"Bang Ditto", published by Manic D. Press, has been a four
year process of putting together the most intimate and honest work I've ever
written. It's a collection of poetry and prose chronicling my
observations of a life spent in the Hollywood business and how that's affected
everything within me and everyone around me. From bad breakups to my most
earnest and deeply scavenged feelings on family. From an inscription I
wrote in my first poetry book given to one of the Coen Brothers, to drunkenly
wandering into the Scientology building for.... well, you'll see.
I guess this book was
really an experiment for me; a risk worth taking in exposing myself
wholeheartedly on a page so as to grow and let others know how I grow.
Yo. To try and untangle the knots I've helped tighten. To try and
see people for exactly who they are- good or bad. More pragmatism and
humility. Less romanticizing. Less taking things so seriously.
More whiskey.
More or less, this is a
book- and a genuine point of view- I'm very proud to share with you.

Two excerpts from two poems in Bang Ditto...
From the poem STRANGE:
"Los Angeles
has that
Pluto-sized hotel room on Beverly
and the
street with your middle name.
This is
where you first handed me your music in a Walkman,
flicked
off my light-switch eyes
and we
camped out in each other’s hair.
You
fogged the letters of a question
on the back
of my neck with your breath.
Your
knuckles rustled through
waste bins
of my waist’s skin
till you
found the thing
that had
been ticking.
Pumping
like a trout’s mouth
or the
bellybutton of an Olympian..."
From the poem ROLE
RESEARCH:
"1.
“Jumpers” he calls them,
pushing a picture
under my dried tabloid-puke
eyes.
The homicide detective at
New York’s 19th precinct
sits across from me, the
mascara maven.
Role research. He has no
eyelids left,
just crumpled Polaroids.
Murders, suicides,
robberies, kidnapping: seen
one 36-year-old
Caucasian male impaled on a
pole after
plummeting the length of
New Jersey,
seen ’em all..."
