Sorry I have not written on this blog in quite a while. This year has been crazy and VERY busy for me. I am trying to keep my sanity between dealing with my family, my home, my finances and now looking for a job.
This summer while my Dad and step mom were away I was going out to their house which is about an hour away at least two times a week, to take care of their pool, house and lawns. That was for about a month and half. It was nice to go and relax but I was never home.
Then my mom had a lot going on with her health and the fact her husband is over seas. Mom's health is never all that good but sometimes it is worse. Luckily, I have a great friend of mine who was able to help be there for my Momma even when I was not able to due to work. She took her to appointments and helped to keep Mom company. I am happy to say Mom is doing better but still has a long road ahead and probably a couple of surgeries. I can never thank Christine enough for everything she has done for me and my family .. and I am happy to call her my sister!
Work .. well what can I say .. do you have a need for a Office Professional? I am looking for a new place of employment after being here since 2002. The company was bought by First Lab effective July 1st, 2008. That was it .. NCPS no longer existed, and out of a 14 person office the new company kept 2 Account Representatives. Everyone else except 1 other people were given their notices, 3 people were laid off on August 1st, and the rest of us have our lay off scheduled to be effective October 1st. I am looking for a job but these are difficult times for everyone, and jobs are tough to come by. I have applications out but I am not hearing anything back. I just hope to find something soon; I can't stand not knowing where my future lies.
Gary and I are still together.. crazy isn't it? I do not know why or how we have managed to make it this far. Come now lets think about this .. we started talking in October 2004. We met when he drove out here Christmas Eve 2004 and stayed a week. I have been out to Tennessee 6 or 7 times and he came out here last September for a week. We have not seen each other in over a year and live about 550mi apart. Amazing to think we are still together and doing well.
Due to everything going on in my life I have not been good about being in contact with everyone. Please do not be upset with me .. I have got so much going on and not enough time in a day. I do think and worry about all my friends and you guys are in my heart. I love you guys!!
Well I am going to let this blog be for a bit. I am at work and really do need to do "work" things. What little work I do have .. lol Almost all of my program s have transferred to the new program and I do not have much work to do these days. J Oh well leaves more time to help out my co-workers.
