Okay,
so maybe over the last month or so I haven't been too nice in my
portrayal of one of the more popular tuning companies around. Can you
blame me after the way we've been treated? It's one thing to be pissed
at me -- for absolutely no reason, mind you. I can deal with that and
move on. It's another thing to sneak around behind the scenes telling
bold-faced lies and trying to pass them off as some distorted version
of the truth. That's childish, it just pisses me off and I simply won't
stand for it. So yeah, I'm gonna call someone out on that crap. Get
over it.

Even with that, I'm mature enough to admit that this
stupid feud between us and the disappointingly pathetic tuning folks
has got to come to a stop. Nobody is going to come out a winner on this
if it continues.

So what prompted this latest surge of
rationalization? More immaturity. I received a message today from a
forum moderator asking that we stop posting in other vendors forums. SAY WHAT?
I
thought we were all there to provide help to forum members. 'Scuze me
because I must have my head up my hiney on that one. It's funny though
because as near as I can tell there is only 1 member that seems to have
taken offense to my posting in her thread; I'll give you three guesses,
and the first two don't count.

Now,
one might ask why I was posting in this particular vendor's thread in
the first place and the answer is simple. There was a guy that had a
problem with his truck. Well now! How could I be so bold as to try to
help someone? Oddly, nobody else seemed to get a message asking them to
stop posting in this particular thread. Maybe I wasn't paying
attention, though. I didn't say one bad thing about anyone or call
their product inferior. I just wanted to help the guy figure out what
the problem was with his truck and get him moving along. In fact, I
even posted positively with regard to the quality of this particular
vendor's service and that he would be taken care of quickly. Maybe I
shouldn't have be nice?!? I don't know. It's all so confusing! (Waving
hands in the air in flustered frustration.) What's even funnier is the
fact that this particular person (l wouldn't wanna be ya!) keeps
following my wife around in EVERY THREAD SHE POSTS IN! Hmmmmm... I thought there were laws against stalking -- and slander*, BTW!

Now
I don't blame the moderator for sending the message. He was doing his
job and I'm sure he's just trying to get the whining in his ear to go
away. What bugs me is that some people think they are special and all
they have to do is bitch loud enough and everyone will kiss their
collective a$$. Got news for ya:  Your poop stinks just like everyone
else's.

What really saddens me is that I feel that I could have
maintained a civil relationship (and tried to at one point) with at
least part of the company if the other part would have kept her nose
out of my affairs.

Here's the deal: Despite the fact that I know
I am entitled to an apology for the way my family and I have been
treated, I am wise enough to realize that I won't get one -- especially
publicly! -- and even if I did, it probably wouldn't mean anything. I
am willing to end this RIGHT NOW. I'll even go so far as to remove my
blogs. All you have to do is to admit (at least to me) that what you
did was wrong and stop telling lies about us to anyone who is stupid
enough to listen. It's that simple.

You have my number.
You have my e-mail.
You have my address.

Now it's up to you. Be an adult. Do the right thing.

I'm out...

*A type of defamation. Slander is an untruthful oral (spoken) statement about a person that harms the person's reputation or standing in the community. Because slander is a tort (a civil
wrong), the injured person can bring a lawsuit against the person who
made the false statement. If the statement is made via broadcast media
-- for example, over the radio or on TV -- it is considered libel, rather than slander, because the statement has the potential to reach a very wide audience.

Hmm... sort of sounds like what these people did to us
last year when they contacted all the forum administrators and made "untruthful statements about a us that harm[ed] [our] reputation or standing in the community, doesn't it ?
