I live in Mansfield. I am a singer/songwriter recently moved here from Oregon. My music style sits well in folk and folk-rock genres. I would like to put together a comfortable group with:
- an acoustic/electric lead player
- a mandolin/banjo/slide/dobro player
- a bass (upright preferred, but not required)
- a drummer who enjoys this style. A note for the drummer - you have to enjoy this kind of music. As much as I love rock and metal, I do not play it and will not allow too much of that influence.

I have a ton of originals I am dying to bring to the table. In fact, I have been ready to record but I would have to play all of the instruments and it just wouldn't be as fun. I have all of the recording gear necessary including mics for drums. I do not have a PA, but unless someone else does (for practice purposes), I could make arrangements to get something.

My goal is to have a set or two of originals practiced, especially the 15-songs I want for the album, then work on a few covers for the mass appeal if necessary. Once my originals are all in play, I will be more than open to everyone else's originals. In fact, I will be encouraging it. I even hope to write songs together.

In Oregon I worked for Musician's Friend and was a booking agent, sound engineer, promoter, and networking nut. I have friends in the biz still and try to stay in touch with as many as I can.

I am a nice and honest guy and easy to get along with. I have a day job, a wife and kids. I have a house, which we can use for practice space if needed.
