When you ride Seattle Metro every day once in a while you're bound to encounter a late bus, but this is ridiculous! Not only is the schedule for the #8 completely unreliable, but some of the drivers are exceptionally rude. Today I waited at the coffee shop directly adjacent to the bus stop (bear in mind it is the FIRST bus stop on the route) when a full 5 minute before the #8 is due, a bus with a marquee reading "RYERSON BASE" pulled up. Ryerson Base is one of the metro stations where busses are fueled and serviced, not a neighborhood, not a stop, not a destination. The only busses that use "RYERSON BASE" as a marquee are busses that are out of service. Nevertheless, the driver stopped the bus, and openned the door, as if expecting passengers to board. As she closed the door and started to drive away I recognized her as a regular #8 driver, and realized that my bus was passing before my eyes! I remembered then that the same driver had done the same thing the week before, when I'd been waiting at the stop from which the route originates. Anyways, since I missed the bus because of such a lousy reason I wanted to rant, but now the next #8 is here and it's time to go to school. Good-bye!
Leo PS Got a new haircut, stop by the downtown Online Coffee tomorrow between 7am and 3pm to critique it!
