Hey Folks,
Time again for another HHBTM newsletter. This one is a bit late, but we were all really busy last month. Casper & the Cookies are going back out on the road with the Apples in Stereo for another round of touring, then hitting the road again with the Icicles and then M Coast. Casper and the Cookies are also putting the finishing touches on a one sided 12" that we will be taking orders on soon. Casper also did a live recording for Fearless TV which is a show on some Fox affiliates. Poison Control Center are playing the Gross Domestic Product Fest & the Mid Creek Music Fest. They also have just finished their debut full length coming out this summer which was recorded by Pat Stolley (Daytrotter, Multiple Cat, Marlboro Chorus) and mastered by Doug Van Sloun (Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley). Elekibass just got back to Japan after a tour with Of Montreal and the Velcro Stars. Elekibass also did a TV performance for TurnpikeTV in Kansas City. We hope the Eleki's will be able to come back over this year ONE MORE TIME. The Smittens just finished recording their debut HHBTM release, but now it's just the mastering we have to wait through. M Coast are working on some new songs, and will be hitting the road with Casper & the Cookies in June doing a fun summer tour of Florida. Bunnygrunt are gearing up to release a Christmas record later in the year, and maybe we can get them to do a new full length as well. Bunnygrunt will also be playing the New York City Popfest in May which will be announced soon. Ryan Anderson's new album will be going into the pressing plant anyday now, and hopefully Ryan will come to your town and play you some tunes about friends and trains. The Love Letter Band are writing a new record with plans of an early 08 release. They will also be doing a small West Coast tour with Thanksgiving in March. The Lolligags have finished their debut EP, and we are now just waiting on the artwork. This dynamic duo will be HHBTM's first venture into dance pop. The Instruments Joy Division covers 7" is still available preorder wise, but they are going quick. We are only pressing 300, so if you want one you better get on it. Last but not least as far as the bands go Patience Please handed over their demo for their full length coming out this summer, and it's good enough to be pressed right now, but they plan to record the album proper next month up in Seattle. Happy Happy Birthday to Me Vol 4 CD compilation is available to preorder. The bonus for folks who preorder will get a bonus DVD of HHBTM bands from the Athens Popfest 04 – 06. We are only making 50 of the DVD so you snooze, you lose. The HHBTM 7" Singles Club will be announced in the next two weeks. I will set a date for when we will start taking subscriptions and post the date a week before we start taking them in order to make it fair for everyone to be able to sign up. There will be 13 singles in this club, a baker's dozen. Each single will be a different color vinyl, and each single will have a different sleeve. We will also have links up to I Tunes and Emusic where you can download your favorite HHBTM releases. We will also be uploading a bunch of videos to the HHBTM site as well, so keep checking back. Then one of our biggest goals to upload all the POPFEST videos we have from 04 -06 onto youtube by the end of the year. Oh yeah, and for all of the CDR EP Club subscribers the last 4 ship out late next week. I am finishing up the sleeves this week. So look for CDR EP's by Pegasuses XL, the Faintest Ideas, the Passerines, and Titans of Filth.
