Orphx don't put out much
but when they do, it leaves an impression. The re-released
“Cracktest” combines slamming, crunchy beats with dubby textures,
while “First Light” takes the approach a few steps further – a
rolling, noisy, banging affair. The remixes are just as impressive,
with Substance turning “Threshold” into reverberating, jacking
techno and Surgeon going for a full frontal assault, rolling out
harsh industrial breaks. 4/5
