Dec 8th, 2009 - I havent updated this in a long time and I do apologize about that. Well since I last updated this I have filmed my first DVD/TV taping, The Cholo Comedy Slam. It was a huge success. It will be out sometime in 2010. Thankfully before 2012, LOL. I have also acted in another movie and I didnt play a cholo, WHAT? LOL.... Last night I showcased for NBC. Well alot of my fellow latino funny did. The showcase was at the Laugh Factory. I did good. Not great. But I noticed something last night and for the moment im going to keep it to my self. But what i can tell you is that im working, crafting, creating and molding my silliness. Last night i had a Bruce Lee moment. Did you ever see the movie about Bruce Lee's life? There's a scene when he's in the hospital after his big fight and he starts talking about how the fight went. He says he was limited by movement and tradition. He creates his own fighting style and ends up beating that dude later in the movie really bad and in a shorter time. I had that moment last night. I'm working everybody. All I can tell you is that im working at being extra silly.
July 10th, 2009- Thank you to all those that have continued to follow and support me in my comedy and entertainment endeavors. I wanted to let you know that this weekend I will be traveling down to San Diego for an audition with NBC/Universal. Its not for sure if im what they are looking for. They are there to see alot of funny comics that I am grateful to be in the company of. But I am very much looking forward to the opportunity and will promise you all that I will do my absolute best to be crazy and insanely hilarious...
APRIL 19TH, 2009- Whats up everybody, hope you all made it out of tax season alive. Now that i am done with all that I can focus on some great news. The acting thing is still going strong. I have been cast to be play a part in another upcoming movie which will begin filming in May. I am very excited about that because I will be getting a chance to work with some incredibly talented people who have been making movies for years. Jan 26th, 2009... What is up everybody. I havent updated this blog in a while and wanted to give you an update on some recent good news. Some of you may have noticed that i have recently grown out my goat-tee. Maybe you've seen me at a show within the past couple weeks or thru a picture I have been tagged in, in my photo's or in my two recent comedy video's on my film page,
www.myspace.com/blackmouthfilms... Well the reason for the recent hair growth is not cause of the new year and a resolution to grow some facial hair, lol. I have been growing it out for an audition for an upcoming independent movie. The role is for one of the main characters and I just found out Friday that i got the part. I am excited cause I will be once again portraying a bad guy. Now i know, some of you may be thinking, "But Aurelio you are so nice, sweet and funny". And you're all right i am funny, HAHA! But sometimes the chance to be bad, even if it is only make believe, is really fun. And this guy I will be playing is crazy sick in the head and probably could use a trip to one of my comedy shows, LOL. Just a reminder dont forget the upcoming show at the Brea Improv Feb 3rd (I even use myself to plug my own shit, hilarious, haha!!! moving on)... Im excited cause i will be working with some very talented people. The story is a good one and I will be doing my best to make sure that I am the very best bad man I can be, LOL. 08/12/08- Well it's official! Im gonna be in another movie. AWESOME!!! I am really excited once again. As you have seen with the last one I took pic's and posted a video diary. I will be sure to update everyone like before, as best i can. I just got the word a few days ago that i got the part in this new movie. As before i had to audition. This time was not as stressful as the time i mentioned below. This time the building had air conditioning, LOL. Like i mentioned before i have really gotten bit by this acting bug. I want to continue to do as many projects as i can and as I am blessed to be a part of. I am first and foremost a comedian. But hopefully this is just the start of some great things to come. I appreciate all the Blog Comments below. I also appreciate all the good words from your messages. Those that continue to support me and my career with your best wishes mean the world to me. JUL 2, 2008- Whats up everybody. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I wanted to share some exciting news with all of you. I just got the call yesterday so it's official. I've been cast in an upcoming independant movie. I am very excited as this is my first acting role. I am a comic first and foremost. But as with the recent creation of my film page (
myspace.com/blackmouthfilms-Please add me) it's no secret that I have a tremendous desire to explore not only comedy but acting, directing, writing and producing. It was a very interesting process. I had to go through 2 auditions. Once in Beverly Hills and the final audition in North Hollywood. Both times I was caught in traffic. So yes it was a little stressful and extremely hot. Actually the weather was crazy hot. Myself and the other actors in North Hollywood were literally burning up this past Monday. The part I have been cast to play is the lead bad guy. A bit of a stretch since everyone and anyone who knows me knows im super laid back. Ok so sometimes i can be a little intense, lol. But overall I am super chill and ready to be bad, lol. Anyway I am so excited and I appreciate you allowing me to share the good news with all of you. Many of you have sent me emails asking when i would start doing any acting... and modeling... and other stuff you cochina's, lol. I want to let you know that I am working hard at trying to break into as many different areas as possible in the entertainment business. I hope that this is only the start of many more good news blogs. With this project I definitely think I got bit by this acting bug. I found myself really liking the whole process.
