I can't believe I forgot to post this, guys. That just goes to show how much of a whirlwind it's been.
After being wildcarded to the finals, we came from behind and took the whole damn thing. Want to see it happen? Click here:
http://www.bostonbandcrush.com/2009/04/rumble-crush-finals-rumble.htmlIt took about a week for it to really sink in. This is a really big deal, and the prize package that we won is beyond belief - basically, you know how we had a whole record pretty much ready? Well, now we're doing it again because we have free access to some of the best studios in the Boston area.
We also played a couple great shows on Sunday - a concert in remembrance of Jeanne Connolly, the wonderful bartender from TT's (where we've played countless shows), where we played a short acoustic set accompanied by Kelly Davis (the voice behind "from a distance" in Seven Stories). Some pics are here:

It's 2:30 am, and I'm just back from recording the drums for the new album, all in one 13-hour stretch at the amazing New Alliance in Boston. John Taft was our capable and very patient and hardworking engineer. The drums sound amazing.
Good night, folks.
