Today marks a new chapter in Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective history. With the development (built by our own inhouse badass, Ralph Eberhard) of this player, we can now post full album streams in our Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective player. That in and of itself is really exciting for us, but the reason we are absolutely super stoked is the fact that anyone interested in helping us out can embed this player on their blog, their Myspace, an Evite, wherever someone can place HTML code. All you have to do is click EMBED and the player will automatically copy the code and all you have to do is paste it wherever you want.
We ask you, our friends through music, to please put this player on any of your sites and help us spread the word about our releases (and soon Vinyl Collective releases). Being a small label with underground artists, we don't get the airplay on places like AOL's Spinner, Spin, commercial radio etc, but we feel that if the people who support what we do can all band together to post our streaming player(s), the combined efforts will get our artists more exposure than working with any mega-conglomerate. This player to me, represents the potential in the community of independent music and if you can't already tell, we are so excited about it.
So please check out the player and help us test it out; put it wherever you can put html and make some waves in independent music. Thanks for your consideration of doing this; we truly appreciate it.
