tour was horrible, a complete waste of time aside from  lincoln, st louis and fullerton.  we bailed halfway through for this and several other reasons. all of us were looking forward to this particular tour, but it turned out to be a mistake. apology to the few people that may have wanted to see us during the 2nd half.  no apology to you black metal teeny boppers (los angeles in particular).  if we want another masochistic tour experience, we'll hit ya'll up.

thanks to: clem and antione (cool times meeting you!), don and danelle, mark and everyone at LEMP, the white night dudes, ghost house, alex d

and lastly-bill is leaving gumbi. we're still on good terms and everything.  we'd like to tour more frequently-bill will be busy with other stuff. we will miss all the great times and shenanigans. we've been playing together for three years! that's a weird thought. we'll be playing with bill for the next few months while we figure out what to do.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR BASS PLAYER. not quite sure if it will stay as gumbi-might start something new entirely. either way, our main focus will be writing new stuff. influences range from pere ubu to the wipers, husker du. all that plus a lot more. serious inquiries only please. also, we plan on doing a good amount of touring, so keep that in mind. hit us up and we'll jam man

Yes, its true I will be leaving Gumbi. But it is all on good terms. I felt I was holding them back from doing the most amount of touring possible. As I am graduating soon and will be getting a "real" job, as well as other life responsibilities, my touring ability is very limited. Also, I plan to go to graduate school eventually. The decision was completely mutual and no bad blood exists at all. I wanted Gumbi to continue because I love this band that much and I did not want to get in the way of that. I am replaceable, the band is not.

So any serious inquiries I will be more then happy to show you the ropes (if you can't already figure out my easy bass parts)

The good news is Gumbi will exist and I will be playing with them for a few more months now. In fact our Halloween show coming up should be quite memorable. I am happy to have toured the entire country with them multiple times and to have finally released this awesome 7". We will be doing a weekend thing hopefully this fall in Minneapolis and Milwaukee. Because I would enjoy to play there with Gumbi one more time.

I am sure I will be popping up in something else though along the way with other players who decided to cave to the realities of the world. Who knows maybe we will do a split with Gumbi?

Take care fellows.

-Bill

It was a pleasure to have you guys crash at my house.
Find another bass player so you can come hang out here again?
