Who Gives Kudos:

January 1, 2008 - Tuesday

I recieved an email the other day that really got me thinking about how much do we think of our Men and Women in uniform. It said " America is not at war, America is at the mall, The Military is at war.

I am a proud veteran of the United States Army. Ive served at Fort Jackson S.C, Fort Knox Kentucky, Ashafenburg Germany and Fort Hood Texas. And I know how much it means to have people pray for you when your away from home even when your not in harms way.

So the reason Im writing this blog is to let people come here and leave prayers for our Soldiers away from home and in the states. So lets start them off with a new year with a covering of prayer for safety and whatever God leads you to pray. But please leave them a prayer here for them to read. Lift them up. Let them know we are thinking of them. But most of all remind them GOD is thinking of them.

If you are a soldier and would like to leave a prayer request please do and also post it in a comment so that people just skimming through can see. But I speak for everyone in this ministry that we are behind you 110%. We are proud of our Men and Women in uniform. God Bless you all,

Heavenly Father I pray for our Men and Women that protect this Country. I pray for a hedge of protection around them that nothing can penetrate but You. Lord place Angels around each and every one of them. I pray for a new year of peace , stength, love, and joy in there lives. I pray for there familys that are at home that you would comfort them. I pray that you fill the void in there hearts with Yourself that is there from being away from the ones they love. I pray in Jesus' name that all our troops come home safe. I pray that you expand there territorys in every direction. I pray for the healing of there minds and bodys. I pray your word that says no weapon formed against them shall prosper. I pray for a constant reminder to them that Greater is He that is in us than he that is the world. I pray that God Bless you all in Jesus' Mighty name.

Take a moment to check out OperationGratitude.com. These good folks pack goodies of all kinds into care packages and mail them to our troops overseas. There's lots of ways to give, all the way from cash donations to donations of snack items, socks, etc. You can even simply write a letter. Handwritten letters are included in each and every package....and by reading their mail, it's what they cherish most...that someone took the time to drop them a line. Check out the website for guidelines for letter writing!

Thank you for your service to our country. May God bless and protect you and your families and may you have a blessed New year. America is fortunate to have such brave men and women as you, willing to take up arms, to protect and defend us.

Lord I agree with my Brothers and Sisters that you will Bless and protect each and every Woman and Man serving our country. That their cause will be without void and that they are understood through out the World for their Bravery, and will be seen as Good. Thank you Lord that you will touch them in a special way as they serve. Let them feel you in everything they do and come to know you in every way. In Jesus name. God Bless you Guy's and Rock On!

Our Gracious Lord and Heavenly Father....You are a loving and caring God. You are Lord and Master of all. My husband Clinton is in Iraq as we speak...and without his faith in you Lord..he would not be the man he is today. I know..that if this be his time to go up to the Heavens...knowing how strong his faith in You is...I WILL see him again...
I have faith...and with faith...all things are possible.

Amen Crystal

I enjoyed this blog. My son, Ben, is in the Army. His first 2 years were spent in Oahu, Hawaii. He's now stationed at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. One of Ben's best friends from his old unit in Hawaii is now in Iraq. Jared had to leave behind a new bride to help defend our country. Ben had a medical profile due to a knee injury & was reassigned. His wife was thankful especially since they have a new baby. Army life can be difficult for families, especially in times like these. I know 2 military guys personally that have lost their lives in this war. Ben has met several who were wounded & sent home on medical discharge to 'deal with the pain & nightmares' of what they've seen.
I pray all our men & women in uniform come home safe & sound...& hope this 'war' ends soon. May God bless & protect them daily. I personally thank all our troops for their hard work & dedication.

P.S.
A Military Mom
