UPCOMING SHOWS, EUROPEAN SESSIONS, AND NEW RELEASES

::: The 2008 season of Writers On A New England Stage kicks off with Cokie Roberts at The Music Hall on April 24, 2008 and continues in May with Louise Erdrich (May 14) and Barbara Walters (May 23).  Dreadnaught will provide live music and the shows will be broadcast on NHPR’s "The Exchange" with Laura Knoy.

::: Dreadnaught’s "James Thresher Industries - Est. 2007" (which was recorded by the Moravian Philharmonic this past fall and can be heard in the band’s MySpace profile) will be released by MMC Recordings on the digital-only compilation MUSICSCAPES.  The collection includes composers such as Richard Drexler (whose jazz-infused take on Brahms features bassist Jeff Berlin), A. Paul Johnson, Carl Vollrath, Russ Lombardi, and many more.  Visit www.mmcdigital.com for more information.

::: In late May Bob Lord will travel to Bratislava to produce sessions with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra (Kirk Trevor, conductor) and clarinetist Richard Stoltzman for MMC Recordings.  Composers whose music will be recorded include Jason Barabba, Roger Rudenstein, Pete Farmer, David Gompper, and William Thomas McKinley; clarinetist Kim Ellis will record Aaron Copland’s "Clarinet Concerto" as well as a double concerto by McKinley for her and Stoltzman.

::: In 2006/2007, Bob produced dozens of chamber recording sessions in Boston at Futura Productions for MMC, and many of the recordings have recently been released.  Here’s a partial list of the CDs/releases:
