We started our short two week tour this week last Friday. The first few shows with Pillar have been amazing. We've met alot of really cool people and are having a blast.
About a few weeks ago I was helping my wife's family have a garage sale and came across a stuffed E.T. doll amidst a slew of other stuffed animals and such, just like the 1980's classic movie. I pulled him out and thought," Dooooooood! I'm bringing him on the next tour so he can be our van mascot!" It started out innocent enough but now we all know better....
For the first few hours of the trip E.T. sat quietly on the floorboard in the front of the van. It wasn't long after that people started to notice that it seemed like E.T. was staring at them. A cold, dark and evil stare. The kind of creepy stare you get from a stranger in a ice cream truck. We dare not remove him from the van though for fear he'll eat us in our sleep. So now E.T. has been banished to sit on the dashboard, where his evil stare can torment oncoming traffic and the rear-view mirrors of people who cut us off on the highway.
