no not the strip club lol

for those of you who dont know it... exactly one year ago (fathers day morning)... i was fishing and a boy, 14 years old, michael maxwell went into the water... it was one in the morning, cold, pitch black and muddy... i tried even after the cops told me to get out of the water but i wasnt able to save him....

today at the pool, i was walking around and saw a little kid jump into the deepend the couldnt swim... i took off running and dove into the water and swam across the pool to where he was... about 10 feet away from him, his mother jumped in and got him and he was ok

the night at the lake me and my ex girlfriend was at the baithouse when we heard there was somebody in the water... i told the owner that we were both certified lifeguards and ask him if he wanted to check us out... i went out onto the porch overlooking the pool and saw a person in the water across the lake... i took off running down the hill and got to the water and dove in and started swimming across the lake... about 10 feet from the boy in the water he went under....

a short time after michaels father and friend dove in to try to get to him... as they began to panic i got them out of the water... i dove down as deep as i could  time after time into the breath taking cold water... but i couldnt see or feel anything.... search and rescue scuba found his body on the bottom 5 hours later after 3 hours of searching

i believe that michael was with me today looking over that little boy at the pool and his mother

Mikeys Memory

Hey I am Mikey's (the 14 year old boy) Aunt Chasity. His dad Michael is my brother. Michael told me about a lifeguard being their that night and tring to help get Mikey. I just wanted to say thank-you so much for tring. I had no idea this whole time that you were the lifeguard he was talking about. I don't know if you have ever talked to his dad, but he is really thankful for your effort and he told our entire family about how hard you tried to save him. Not everyone has a natural instinct like that to run and help. So thank you so much.
