You are invited to Rose For Bohdan's funeral. After 10 years of doing whatever the fuck we want, Rose For Bohdan has decided to end it all. The currently members of the band (Nick, Grace, and myself, Brian) all love playing together, but have grown tired of carrying around 10 years of history. R4B has been so many different things that it is time to just start anew.

So come join us for the funeral. We'd love to see everyone at them, whether you are an old fan or new. We will play 2 final shows this June. One at Pehrspace on Mon June 11th, which will be the last time we play any of our usual songs. Then another on Tue June 26th at the Smell. That show will be a collaboration with our friend and Silver Daggers bassist, Steve Kim... both shows have something special prepared to celebrate this end.

And then by fall, we shall return in a new form, embracing the future.

I MISSED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh the AGONY!

I was getting oriented at CUSLB.. Brian I was going to have you guys perform at my house show at the end of the summer, with a number of my friends' bands. I thought you would like them. What do you think of Nephews. You MUST know them. Oh well, it's not like we could have paid you much, and we're in Inglewood, which is hella far for you guys, plus it might not even happen.


Good shit you guys, I'd love to see your new work, since 03 or 04. I loved the birthday song and your cover of big pimpin' and the other new stuff you threw on that recent recordings mix you made for me.


Was the surprise cool and the turn-out bombtastic? I hope all your dedicated fans came out and made you feel good one last time.

take a look at the date on the blog post, this wasnt in june 2008, it was in june 2007. you missed the rose for bohdan funeral by a year! it was a blast though. best show r4b ever played. sorry you missed it. :(

the 6th rose for bohdan album will still come out at some point in late 08 or early 09. it will be called "There It Is, The Creeping Moral Decay of the Past Thousand Years"

that said, our new band is better!

grace and i have been very active in Foot Village since then... put out an album and a 7", toured the US twice, and go to europe in the fall. we have a new 7" coming out soon on Too Pure/4AD. def check out foot village: http://myspace.com/footvillage
