I knew if I listened long enough I would find a folk singer among all the country and blues and jazz and lo and behold Michael Cooper recorded this album right there in my old hometown (Signature Studios, Little Rock) and it sounds like home. Cooper is joined by Andrew Chance, who also co-wrote one of the tunes, Andy Wallis, who also did engineering, and Katie Garton ..s, but for the most part this is his show and it happens to be a pretty good one at that. It is predominantly one voice and one guitar and the songs are quiet and thoughtful. Beautiful, even when lamenting lost love or wasted days and nights.
