Chemistry marks the second release from the boundary morphing live hip hop band Beam. Prominently featured is live material culled from recorded performances as well as studio cuts. Chemistry is the broadest spectrum of material released from the band to date and offers up improvisational selections which the band is known for live and the debut of composed recorded material.
Produced by drummer David Throckmorton and engineered by Skip Sanders with original album artwork by metro-urban artist Brian Holderman.
Beam will be celebrating the release of their sophomore CD Chemistry with a release party on Saturday December 23rd at Club Cafe on Pittsburgh's South Side. Doors at 10pm - $10 cover. This will also mark the first time in more than a year that all 5 original founding members - David Throckmorton, Paul Thompson, Steve Landay, Akil Esoon, and DJ Supa C - will appear live together on stage.
In the coming days clips from the new record will be available on Beam's myspace page and the album will be available to purchase online at CD Baby.com. Please check back often.
