This is a letter from Pastor Jeff In Tennesse. Recently a tornado moved though the town he lives in, a awesome F4 tornado. Many borderline emotions involed as my brother / pastor expresses.

.............................................................................................................................
Now that I have actually been within a mile of a F4 tornado, here's how it went

..............................................................................................................................

I saw the clouds in the sky low, dark, and moving fast. I live in a poltergeist neighborhood so I was looking over roof tops. The first indication that I got was a bright green flash that looked like lightening but I knew it was a transformer blowing, so I did the intelligent thing, I told LeighAnn to come outside and look (HAHA). Really though, the news was saying that it was about two miles due-west of my house and moving northeast at 65mph. I called the kids outside because this was a once in a lifetime event (no pun intended) and my whole block was full of people outside to watch it go by. Now remember, this is a brand new tornado and we are the first ones seeing it so noone knew what to expect. It began as invisible and we could only see transformers blowing, but then we knew when it hit sub-divisions because it became visible by houses and businesses that were anhilated and the debris gave the tornado a visible presence.

Then it got eerie

...................................................................................................................................

I could see what looked to be a return flow, like a cloud moving up from the ground into the tornado, we knew people were dying and thats when everyones excitement turned to shock and awe! It Widened out to about a quarter mile and all of our senses shut down because of the roar only about a mile away now. At this point it was full blown and full grown and it dominated everything in the atmosphere. The clouds in the sky wrapped up in a circle above it and it began to turn right. When I saw that it was no longer moving away from us, but now parallel to us, I sent the kids in to take cover. Thankfully it stayed on a course that took it parallel to us north of us and I realized that a tornado this big was not part of a thunderstorm, it was the storm, and it was on the ground, and it roared, and all of our life instinct said that this thing is awesome, and a killer, and there's nothing you can do (but pray) if it hits you.

....................................................................................................................................
Nothing stood that it hit

Three people died in my town, and the death toll is up to 40 here in TN. They are still finding people in the rubble. I never want to be that close again Thought you would find that interesting, talk at you later.
