Hear that low end rumble...like a giant military vehicle approaching in the distance? That's the sound of the eighty thousand people migrating to a single 700 acre plot of land just south of here. For months now we've been gearing up for this show, and we're still getting logistics in place and we are but one band playing so I can't imagine coordinating ALL the bands.
This year we're playing one of the two main stages. This will surely be the largest crowd I've played to since the Cheetah Wheelie days, but this could very well end up being the biggest crowd I have ever played for! YES, we are all excited! YES, we've rehearsed and chiseled and honed and tweaked! YES, local shows are always a pain in the a*@! YES, I HAVE now heard from every single human being I've come into contact with in my entire life asking me for passes! ....and NO! I can not please all the people all the time!!
If we can contact a satellite on the bus I plan on doing a video blog from the site. We'll be down for the entire weekend, and will update you guys on goings on! We'll also send photos and I'll do some blogging. I will plan and sacrifice and sweat and toil with my little bitty mind and work really hard on creating that little hole in the wall so that everyone here can peer inside the inner workings and general atmosphere of the Bonnaroo experience!!!!
See ya soon!!
Mike
