ABOUT OUR GUESTS: Matthew Lepacek: Originally from Joliet, Illinois, I have came a long way from tinkering with my apple in the early 90's. I have worked with several startup IT companies in my 12 years of real-world experience. I worked for a small ISP/Computer Networking firm during my freshman year of high school--my first real job in the IT field. Soon after, that company went out of business, the owner moved out of town and I took the existing client base and started my own consulting/computer networking & training company, Bridge Technologies. While with Bridge, I worked with Greg Olson for Prairie iNet in building the first state-wide wireless broadband access 900MHz 2mbps internet access provider in 1998. A little later I ran into the most talented designer I had ever met (at a local newspaper), we became friends and soon started a small web design company, Airvae Design Partners. I moved to New Jersey in 2000 to complete the launch of a startup e-commerce venture I had made contact with through Airvae. I moved to New York in January of 2002 leaving that startup to launch a new e-commerce venture and NYC has been my home ever since. In my 12 years in the IT business, I have covered it all and consider myself an IT jack of all traits. My primary passion is software development - infrastructure/network design & security. I am a local NY playwright in my free time, I discovered the truth 3 or 4 years ago after bumping into a We Are Change banner in the subway one Saturday, met the We Are Change crew and have been using my computer skills in the info war ever since. We're currently building a new peer to peer live video streaming infrastructure, TruthTV which is expected to launch within the next month, with the release of the new WeAreChange.org truth portal.
